Cute Baby event on Women's Day

hmm,
Finally after a lot of rehersals of how to walk, wave and give a flying kissing it was the day to do it all on the stage. The event was to start at 8.00pm on 8th March 09 at the common area stage setup in Solitiare. Untill 6.30 i was still shopping for the event. Got my gorgeous princess ready. When she wore her grown she realised there is something important happening. Then she let me dress her up. Wore all the accessories (braclets, necklace, hairband, etc). The best part was her smile. She enjoyed being dress and when she looked at the mirror she and ofcourse all of us knew she was rocking.
Both of us reached the venue of the event to find a lot of other kids around some very small (a few months old) some older ones (around 6yrs old) everybody standing in a queque with their mothers. This was my first stage show where i am here with my daughter ready for the contest. All the kids were tagged and Dhriti was given NO. 13.
The event started, the host started calling out Nos and corresponding kids were accompanied by their mothers. Each one trying to greet the judges in there own way. Its was No. 13 called out. I and Dhriti walked up to the judges, i told dhriti to wave at the audience and then give a flying kissing. She followed the instructions and also shaked her hands with the judges. Her grandmother was seated just next to the judges so Dhriti shaked hands with her also and returned to the stage.
After all the kids were done, there were group photos shot. On the stage when the music was on, dhriti started dancing and everybody was enjoying it. Finally the grand event came to an end. Though the winner was another child, Bommika. Dhriti was our winner. She made our day.
