Dhriti and Dhruvi - The Joy of My Life

You enjoy listening to stories and that my trick to keep you happy in the morning.  fairy tales are the latest crazy.  I have told you Cinderalla's story.  Today was Snow white's time but with a little twist ;) .  I enjoy making up stories as much as you enjoy listening to it.

Your dance classes have their annual day on Saturday December 1, 2012.  The practice is already started.  I am more nervous than her.  Will post in her practice snaps soon.

Janmasthami is over. .. Independence day is here.  Event to be dressed as a freedom fighter and say 4 lines. We decided on Sarojini Naidu and dressed you up in the saree.  The saree was brought last year during Independence day for your Jhansi Lakshmi Bhai role.  The saree draped perfectly this year.  I had thought you 4 lines "My name is Dhriti Gajjala My role is Sarojini Naidu I write poems I love you India Jai Hind" All the rehearsals were perfect but then you did not say anything in the school.  I don't know why? anyways i am very happy the way your costume turned out.

August is a month of festivals.  Starting with Janmasthami celebrations.  You had to go dressed as Radha.  All boys were krishna and all girls were radha.  See the picture.  The costume, jewellery and the makeup all went very well.  Just that i didnot have time to click more pictures.   You got up late and there was hardly any time to dress you.  We had a rehearsal the previous night and that really helped me organise things.

Yesterday was Raksha Bhandan.  It was your day and you completely ruled over it.  Started with your favourite breakfast (poori sriknth).  Karan and Aditya were also super excited.  You had already told them what gift you wanted (Barbie Doll set).  You went with Karan and brought your gift.  Though it was intact only for 30mins.  Today morning i saw the whole set in pieces and it was like a zigzaw puzzle for me fixing up all the broken limbs and parts of the cycle. The pre-rakhi session in school was a good learning for you as you were well prepared for the actual event.  You knew that it was tilak, rakhi and aarthi :) oopss forgot Cadbury's GEMS was also a part of your gift.

With me and your dad bunking office midweek for no reason and lot of time you were the happiest.  It was your day yesterday.  It was not planned so turned out to be even better.  First thing was your long awaited wish to have us pick you up from school was fulfilled.  Not just mom but both mom and dad.  That surprised and excited look on your face was worth looking at.  Then an ice-cream treat on the way home. Back home dad had all the time to play and mom with breaks in between work.  But you enjoyed it.  Later in the evening went to a movie "Ice Age 4" your first 3D movie but you enjoyed it with out the glasses :) The beautiful day ended with the pre-dinner treat at McD.  finger chips and a early good night sleep.
